    Keeping fit while pregnant

Is anybody out there exercising regularily while pregnant and can recommend some tonning exercises that are safe? I've spoken to my Dr and walking on the treadmil is fine just as long as I don't tire myself out. It's all about listening to the body apparently
If you did workout while preg did you find that you bounced back much quicker after the birth of your baby?

I think my body bounced back pretty nicely and I did prenatal yoga once or twice a week for toning and strengthening and walked most days.

Yup - I am training 3-5 times a week however I was doing this before getting pregnant.

I use my body, a fit ball, and a TRX band for resistance for toning. I do modified versions of squats, presses, upright rows, bicep curls etc. For cardio, I do treadmill only. I use to box but my trainer has banned it for now (because my heart rate goes too high).

I'm maintaining my exercise come hell or high water this pregnancy because I let it lapse with DD and stacked on the weight then had a hell of a time getting rid of it after. I also have a long standing injury which requires me to train regularly to keep it in check.

I use a combination of listening to my body and my heart rate monitor to keep myself in check.

I had to stop using my treadmill just a few weeks ago. The relaxin just got too much for my pelvis . But regular gentle walking, swimming and yoga are great and you can usually continue them til the very end.
