Where can I get poke root??

After some research I have found that apparently Phytolacca Decandra (poke root) is meant to be a wonder herb/plant for mastitis. Only problem is I can't find it in the health food stores I know.

Anyone know where I could get it??

Also anyone used it for mastitis?

Ok firstly... Poke root!! That's such a great name!

Anywho, immaturity aside, I've also heard it's good for mastitis - 2-4 drops in water in the morning for a couple of days apparently (though I'd look into it a bit more before taking it!). As for where to get it, I'd say a health food shop would be your best bet, and if they don't have it they could usually tell you where to get it.

do you want the dried herb, powdered herb or tincture?

Try a naturopath, ring one of the colleges that you can do alternative medicine study through, or try a pagan/witchie shop.

    Hi Little_O

I have Poke Root in herbal tincture form, or in a potentised homeopathic form. It is a very strong herb, and only needs to be used in very small doses (usually given in drop doses). If you are having trouble finding it, let me know via PM. We can have a quick chat about posting some to you.

    Just to update!

My mil got me some via her naturopath.

Works wonders. Have used it the last two times I've started getting the mastitis and I haven't had to go on antibiotics again!!
Still get the streaking and swollenness for a bit but it clears it up fairly quick, and it has avoided the fever, aches and chills.

Looks like I've found a friend for my journey lol.(albeit it a volatile friend who I can only have in tiny doses and no more than 3 days in a row!!)
