when all the information is received from the ato - it can take up to a month after you receive your notice of assessment - generally its not that long, but it CAN be
Do you know when the earliest it will be paid is? Online it shows that centrelink have already received the info from the ATO on tuesday infact but it is not showing that i am going to get my supplement any time soon... just wondering if there is an earliest date they will pay iykwim
I was wondering the same. We did our tax monday and they appear to have received the income details for us to. Hopefully that's a good sign that it wot be as long as last year. Not sure about other but it didn't show up online until we had our payment that time.
when the info gets to FAO, FAO send the reco result back to ATO to see if you owe any money there (no money will be issued by FAO if you owe ATO money)
this can take up to 28 days after the info is received by FAO - until it hits that amount of time, it is deemed totally normal.
Ato website says up to 12 business days to process. Some will be quicker. It doesn't come immediately from ato to FAO either. Can take several weeks (hasn't been but it can)
If you lodge too early you may have additional delays getting info from ato to FAO cos they don't open the lines of communication immediately.
Eta why lodge on 30th? That's provably a big part of the delay. The channels between ato and FAO definitely don't open until the new fin year
Thanks BG.
I lodged DH's tax on the 2nd of July and on the 3rd our actual family income was showing on the centrelink site. I am assuming though, that because i only got paid yesterday, my supps wont be paid until my next payment... bummer!
