Tell me what to have for dinner tonight.

Seriously, tell me what to eat and I will. I'm feeling like I'm coming down with something, I'm hormonal and stressed, I don't want to make this decision. Suggest things for us (myself DH and DD). I really want someone else to make this decision, DH is being annoyingly indecisive

Chicken soup with lots of garlic, ginger and chilli. Kick that lurgy to the curb before it arrives.
Then something made with fresh strawberries and kiwi fruit.

Yum. We have like an hour and a half until dinner, could I make a chicken soup in that time? Like, cheat with a roast chook maybe? Fruit sounds amazing.

Yep - you can use chicken wings or a chicken frame or the bones fro a roast chook to make broth and then throw some browned (or not browned if you can't be arsed) thigh pieces for meatiness.
I never boil the meat for ages although I've eaten some yummy soups made that way.

That sounds good. We're having lamb shanks with heaps of garlic to try and get rid of the lurgy hanging round our house And we have visitors for tea so they'll be smelling all garlicy too

I had a late lunch of reheated pizza from yesterdays lunch, so I just had a Splice ice-cream for dinner... lol, don't take my advice if you want to feel better though. The pizza was home-made though if that makes it any more nutritious? lol

Everything sounds yummmm, much better than my porridge!
Sucks when DD isn't here as I don't cook meals just snack (which really isn't a good idea)

I'm liking the sound of Joeve's dinner - the kids will eat it with absolutely no complaints, no pots and pans to wash, and DH is more than capable of "cooking" it!

There was no chicken at the supermarket! And we're having one of those icky nights where everything is running behind. DD has had a weetbix to tide her over, and in about 20 mins we're having eggplant and capsicum stuffed with veggies, bacon and cous cous.
