New Years Eve on the Gold Coast

So there's a good chance that DH and I will be going to the Gold Coast for a couple of nights over new years - kid free!!!

Anyone got any suggestions on how to spend new years? We haven't been out on new years eve since 2005, so this is all new to us lol

Also, does anyone have any suggestions on places to stay, fairly budget friendly?

    Thanks!

Well surfers paradise is one big party anytime of the year so you could try there as long as crowds don't bother you!!! won't be real cheap though unless you look at something further out or only 3 star.

Its very young down there at that time of year so the streets get a bit messy iynkwim. But there are normally things for all ages. If draculas is still open its worth the price for the dinner and show
