You could go the yoghurt route instead. Vaalia is one brand that actually contains enough live cultures to have an affect in the bowel, not sure about other brands. And if you want to boost the effects of your probiotic you can use a prebiotic like colostrum powders or inulin (eg benefibre which you can add to food or drinks). Not necessarily cheap but effective & if it helps your body regain balance quicker then it might reduce the longer term spend.
I agree with the others. You do get what you pay for and from what I hear, even at that price Inner Health Plus isn't really worth it.
The cheapest way to get good probiotics is to make your own fermented foods.Yoghurt is a good one. Use a good quality yoghurt such as Vaalia as a started culture and make more yourself. Making a variety of fermented foods will help you get a variety of probiotic bacterias so sauerkraut is also good, as are any other fermented veggies you want to do, and then you can also ferment a bunch of condiments like tomato salsa and mayonnaise so that you're sneaking in probiotics at every opportunity.
