    Farmstays in NSW

    Hi
Looking for any suggestions of good farmstays in NSW - preferably just a couple of hours drive from Sydney. Will be looking at taking 4 almost 3 year old plus a couple of bubs so four families in total. Like for kids to be able to do some feeding, petting and interaction with the animals.
    Thanks

We just went to Oakhampton, north of Manilla, so not really that close to Sydney, but it was just beautiful. The accomm was great for kids and adults, food good, huge variety of animals and Gorgeous location.

Return train fare for a family of 5 was $604 from Sydney, first class.

Thanks for that but probably just a bit too far. One of the little bubs is only 6 weeks old so to long a trip especially just for long weekend. Hopefully someone else will come on with ideas closer to Sydney.

    Cheers

I dont know of any specifically, but have you tried around the Hunter Valley? Quite a popular tourist destination so there might be a farm stay there. Or in the Southern Highlands perhaps (Mittagong, Moss Vale and other little towns in the area are also popular with tourists).
Or Mudgee. mostly a wine area now, but there may be a farm stay somewhere. I know there is one just down the road from my parent's sheep and cattle property, but I wouldnt recommend it, especially with a small bub.

There is one in the Hartley valley, just down mt Vic pass on the western side of the blue mountains. Would be 2-2.5 hrs from Syd. Can't recall its name off the top of my head but Google might help. They have lots of horses.
