Bg ur going to be so sick of me lol. U explain it so much better than anyone else but.
Ok so I do daycare and I'm trying to get a family to come to me that is currently at a center.
They want to do 2 days with me and 2 days at the center.
Here is the part I don't understand.
With family daycare the CCB has a 1.33333 loading and is used in the first 37.5hrs BUT the center just have it for the whole 50hrs.
So this family work so they r entitled to 50 hrs.
They used 24 at a centre and will prob use 17hrs with me.
So I know normally with daycare if you are using 2 carers once u go over the 37.5hrs you pay all the extra hrs and there is no CCB paid for the extra hours.
But what happens when it is between a center and a family daycare who gets the hours first daycare or the center. Will they run out off CCB funded hours?
Does this make sense?
you would have to go direct to your local scheme to ask this question. as far as FAO staff are concerned, they get 50 hours, they can use at one, two or 5 carers. with the loading etc, that would be something you'd need to check direct with the scheme as to how it impacts things.
i personally am of the understanding that the limit is listed as HOURS (easily understood) but that there is actually a DOLLARS per week limit (which is why you only get about two thirds of the hours with FDC, given the extra loading per hour) - in which case it would depend on which provider put in the care hours first as to which gets the funding - either way, they wouldn't be able to exceed their dollar value for the week for CCB - the hours that went above that dollar limit would attract only CCR to the maximum of the 50 hours.
Oh dollar limit would make much more sense. With family daycare it is 195 so yeah along as they don't go over that with both I am assuming they would be right.
Thanks heaps bg
