There is a thread about the turnaround of the e-tax returns. You could assume that once submitted that the ATO would handle the same as the e-tax ones, I could be completely wrong though.
We are finding the male returns are coming in first, then up to a week for the female, this is due to reconciling with the FAO to ensure there is not debt there to be settled. (well that is assuming you receive some form of FTB etc)
I was reading an article online in the news this morning and it said approx 12 working days and gave a number to call to check progress. Am I allowed to put the number?
there is also a "check your tax return progress" on the ato website. DH's took 9 days (7 business days) and mine took about 12 days. I was very impressed with how quickly they came.
Dan, I just checked online and it says the ATO didn't receive the return until 4 days AFTER our appointment! (Ok, so 2 of those days were the weekend...but still!). So I guess I just have to be patient for a while longer...
