Intracranial Pressure Monitor.... had one?

Just after some positive stories about intracranial pressure monitors, hubby is having one fitted on Thursday and I'm sh*t scared, he's had issues with his head since he was 14, but over the last 4 years he hasn't had many issues... we are into week three of a massive headache they drugs don't seem to have an impact on, they did an Lumba Punch last Tuesday which showed pressure but no infection or anything, the pressure was expected some what cause of the cyst he has in his brain, but since that has been deflated and doesn't show any change on the CT scans or MRI since 2006 they thought it was "normal" for him, however he's showing most of symptoms of the pressure being too high so they want to see the results over a 24 hour period... I don't know what to expect and hubby is filled with horror stories... last time he got meningitis and ended up in a coma...

Guess I'm after a place to vent too as he doesn't want it all over facebook.... perhaps a place to cry....
