tube of stretch or joining stretch material
have ever sewn stretch material before (yes it is different to sewing normal material)
you will need a ball-point tip needle for your machine to start with, the correct thread etc
You also need to make sure that the stretch of the material is the right way.
A bikini can take up to 2m of stretch material because of the way the pattern has to be laid out on the stretch.

Yep go for it! If it's a tight stretch it will be easier to sew than a really soft stretchy jersey but even that isn't impossible, just can be fiddly and as Sop mentioned you do need to be able to match up stretch etc. I bet there are some tutes online!!

It's been a little while since i've sewn stretch material - will need a practice go first
I might maybe buy a cheap one and unstich it for a pattern.
