    tting help please

At the moment I am tting DD2, who will be 3 in nov. This time round we skipped the potty bit, and introduced the big loo. We did this because she sees us and her idol, DD1, use it always. And she's always wanting to do everything and anything that DD1 does. So we take nappy off when we get up, and she doesnt get a nappy back until bedtime, unless we have to go out, then she's in a nappy, but thats only because Im not so sure Im ready to take her out nappy free. Although yesterday when we got home, she hadnt even wee'd in her nappy, and she took it off when asked at the door to the toilet, and went in a did a wee.
So I think she has the wee's bit down, she very rarely has any accidents.

But getting her convinced that doing a poo on the loo is proving to be much harder. She understands that poo goes in the loo. She understands that when she wants to or needs to go to the loo, she is to let me or DH know and we will take her. Basically the same deal as with needing to do a wee.

So every day, is groundhog day. She does a poo in her pants (no undies at this stage), and lets me know after shes finished. Every single day, and sometimes its more than once. When shes done it, I take her down to the loo, where we flush it then I clean ehr up, and give her a shower. Then we talk about it again.

But to be honest Im at my wits end. The only thing that is keeping me going right now is that I know she will eventually get it.

I was wondering if anyone could help with some ideas about how I can convince her to go to the loo?

    Please

I know it's cold, but have you tried going pants free entirely? It seemed to do the trick for my DD. Stickers on the calendar for each day she did a poo in the toilet with 3 stickers equalling a chocolate (or whatever might motivate your DD).

Good luck - it will happen!

    Thanks Dollyroux

We used sticker charts with her in the beginning and we got success. At the moment she has a Dora scooter sitting on a shelf waiting for her to do poo's. Everytime she asks about it, and why she cant get it down, we explain its because she has to use the loo for poo's too. The scooter is what she wanted in return for tting, and I had to make sure she understood it has to be both poo's and wee's.
It will happen, just sooner would be better

With my DS I would physically put him on the toilet every hour and practise pushing noises and read a book 'everybody poo's' then if nothing was happening take him off 5-10 min depending how long until he was over it. After three days of this it all clicked goodluck

My four year old still won't poo in the toilet and after 9 months of cleaning poo off her and out of her undies, I gave up. She's back in nappies now.

Maybe when her little sister trains she might find the motivation....

So uh, I have nothing to add to this thread, I'll just be... going...
