    Tooth extracted today- advice please

I got a tooth extracted today. I bit down on the gauze for an hour (dentist said for half an hour but I wanted to be in the safe side). When I took the gauze out it was ok for about a minute then started bleeding again. I put some more gauze in but I'm not sure when to take it out now and should I just apply more gauze and pressure if it keeps bleeding again? The new gauze filled with blood pretty quick too. Help!!

    How is it now?

I had one out last Monday and it would just randomly start bleeding, if it's still bleeding lots maybe ring the dental clinic and ask them, it may be normal

I have taken the gauze off and it hasn't been bleeding excessively but I can taste blood and every now and then my tongue must go near it and it tastes so yuck. Did you apply gauze the random times yours started to bleed?

When i had my wisdom teeth out I woke up in a pool of blood and it wouldnt stop bleeding when I but down on gauze so rang the number they gave me and was told to go to hospital. There they soaked some gauze in adrenalin and made me bite on that and that seemed to work. They also gave me the rest of it in case I needed more but I didn't. If it stops when you bite down on gauze then I'd do that until it stops altogether unless it starts everytime you immediately take the gauze away then maybe ring them.

Can you eat and drink if it is oozing still? It's mostly stopped but does start up again if I move around too much or talk too much? I'm getting a bit light headed from not eating or drinking

I wouldnt eat if it's still bleeding but sips of drinks. Maybe all earth direct and ask them

I've had sutures before due to excessive bleeding post tooth extraction. I've always been told to use gauze again each time it bleeds. Hope it stops bleeding and feels better soon
