Velcro is good when really little as you can make it tight as needed but snaps are better when they get older as they can undo velcro.
eg ds2 is currently wearing green kids osfm during the day with Velcro fastening as I don't have any small itti snap ins. He's not doing much rolling or other moving yet at 4 months so I don't have to worry about him undoing anything yet. When he gets a bit bigger and I have a bit of time to pull out my med ittis he'll go into snaps so I don't need to worry about him undoing nappies too easily.
To work out rise when buying gf night nappies for ds1 I got a measuring tape out and measured from top of bum crack to belly button(I think it was this high at the front; might have been waistline) without nappy on and looked at the sizing guide on the gf website.
I side snapped night nappies as that way I could adjust for around legs better for no leaks over night.
Yep exactly what Leckert said.
I'm not a fan of velcro purely because no matter how good their washing tabs are, you can guarantee one will come off and snag other stuff in the wash. I do like it for tinies but the washing thing outweighs the like.
I like SS nappies due to their adjustability. They were great for my big bellied skinny legged kid and now for my chunky thighed skinny bellied kid.
I also found with GF higher rise was great for boys and lower was fine for girls.
Yeah what Kim said pretty much. I dont use GF nappies but velvro always bugs me the way it latches onto everything in the wash, and DD from an early age realised she can undo them herself so snaps only here as they lock that nappy on her bum
Definatley side snaps, if you can ones with snaps around hte leg as well helps with the adjustment for varied leg sized.
Thanks ladies. Seems a bit of a moot point given that the Tots Bots I want to buy are still out of stock everywhere! Will order my GF pretty though with side snaps so thanks again.
