[VENT] InLaws need to get a life!

My BIL and SIL are up to old tricks again It's a loooong story, but to put it shortly I am best friends with BIL ex, they have a son together. I am so tired of them trying to go through me to attack my friend. They act as though I am a traitor because I take my friends side over BIL (Because he emotionally and physically abused her when together) And that I should be choosing 'family'. It's so pathetic. I should add, they broke up YEARS ago and he now has kids with SIL. But the funny thing is he never cared about his son until he got together with SIL and now she does all the dirty work for him, it disgusts me.
I don't care if it causes uncomfortable family holidays, I will stick by my friend till the end. She is family to me, not him.

Why can't they just get the hell over it and move on!? Sick of seeing my friend upset

Hugs to you - sounds awful. Does your SiL know the full story? Can you just tell them you won't discuss your friend with them? Or not have family holidays? But then, why should your life be compromised because of their inability to grow up.

    Tricky situation
does his partner now know the story? do you think he's changed?
Im afraid I'd be saying to him to keep quiet after the bad way he handled the relationship with her. What's his game always bringing it up? not cool.
    Hugs

I could have written that exact post, I've been experiencing something similar but on a shorter time frame. I will stand by my "sister from another mother" (as she calls me) always.

Just out of curiosity, does he wish he was still with your friend? Is that why he continuously talks about her?

Thanks ladies, I'm so tired of the drama!
They are convinced that they have done nothing wrong and it is all my friends fault. They are delusional.

Chocaholic, I wonder this too sometimes. They eventually broke up when she matured (she was young when they met) and he could no longer control her.

SIL has been contacting me over Facebook and i have just ignored it. So far so good, seems to have died down.

Your friend is the mother of your nephew, therefore she is family too.

I'd just ignore your BIL and SIL if you can, as it sounds like they're being petty and immature.
