Can I use Deep Heat while Breastfeeding?

I have pulled a muscle or something overnight and am in agony in my right shoulder/arm

Other than the smell potentially offending DD, is it safe to use?

Panadol hasn't put a dent in it

I don't know about deep heat, but the voltaran cream and dencorub (sp?!) cream say no on the packets. I'd assume deep heat would be the same.

What about the voltaran tablets? The midwives gave me those for the first couple of days after birth so I'd assume they were okay?

MG knows a good cream that is ok, i can't remember its name - something like fysiocream.

i would think that if voltaren tablets are ok, then the cream would be too. you could ring Rodney Whyte at Monash for clarification.

I might get some voltaren tabs, thanks PRMG, the middies gave them to me for pain relief while in hospy so they must be ok
