    His hand is working!

3.5 months DS1 broke his arm and sustained a radial nerve injury which means he can't move his right wrist or thumb. He's had about a dozen x-rays, nerve conduction studies, 2 MRI's and they all shed no light onto the problem. Today when I picked him up from school he said "hey mum, look what I can do" and to lifted his hand! He's got full wrist control back overnight. Still can't move his thumb but that's sure to follow

Yahoo. How stressful for you! Dd broke her arm around the same time and I know how worried I was with her pins and needles. But they too have all settled. I can't imagine what it would have been like with the follow stuff you have had to do!

He's so happy he doesn't have to go through more nerve conduction studies. They were horrible, basically they used a tazer to pass electric currents through his arm to track the nerve and they were next on the list for being repeated if he didn't recover.

Eeek I still can't believe it! I feel like I need to make an oscar worthy speech but can I please say thank you so much to everyone on BB who helped me during his injury with advice, practical support and a listening ear. I was so worried he would never be able to move his hand again I think I would have fallen to pieces without this forum.
