    Cooking venison?

I have no idea what to do with the fresh loin of venison a friend has given us?
Is it a tough kind of meat? Should I put it in the slow cooker? Treat it like beef? What goes with it? Or should I maybe marinate it and roast it?
    Please help me!

probably the best thing to do is courier it over to me

seriously if I was cooking venison I would do it slow cooked in a rich red wine sauce. It can get dry if you are not careful so this was it will be delicious and moist. Enjoy!

wrap it in bacon and roast it to medium rare. It's a lean meat and the bacon provides the fat to cook in.

    slow cooked sounds good too

Cook it in coke, helps with the gamey flavour

Slow roasted with black beer, mushrooms, vege soup mix and a packet of brown onion gravy.

Like the others have said, it goes dry very easily so make sure you cook it in some form of liquid. The bacon idea is good too.
