So, I bought 3 Mother-ease swim nappies (in different sizes) when DS was a baby and never had any problems. DD has used them up until now - they showed a bit under her bathers but not enough to bother me.
However, I've just bought a new pair of bathers and the nappy is in full view around her legs. I thought maybe I needed to move up a size in nappy - that helped a bit but didn't solve the problem. Then I thought maybe the bathers were too small and hence higher cut in the legs than they should be. So I bought a size 2 (both pairs were from Target, but different styles). Same problem.
Any suggestions? Are these bathers just higher cut and there's nothing I can do? Or does anyone have any suggestions on a swim nappy that is a little higher cut than normal, so it won't show? My only other idea is just to buy a pink swim nappy to match the bathers and put up with it showing!
Does it matter that it's showing and not matching? I never worried with my girls the nappies always show same as most of the girls still in nappies at swimming lessons.
I know that reusable swim nappies are rather 'chunky' so I've bought DD2 a cossie with a swim nappy as a part of it. Cute little two piece from Target. She won't be going anywhere outside in her togs here so no biggie that they don't incorporate a rashie plus I have a full suit for her just in case.
I never bothered with proper bathers until DD was about 3, when she was toilet trained. While she was in a swim nappy, she just used that and a rashie.
DS is the same. My nephew wears a swim nappy underneath his speedo bottom and tbh it looks ridiculous. They don't really need anything apart from the swim nappy I reckon!
