thread: Christmas Present for 11yr old boy.

Christmas Present for 11yr old boy.

I am really really stuck on what to buy Kameron for Christmas.

Their joint present this year will be a new trampoline mat. However I still have to organise a present from us and Santa stuff as he still believes.

I have a pair of (fake) Nike's on the way, as he really wanted Nike's but I couldn't afford the $100 + variety. He doesn't own anything starting with i nor does he have hand held game consoles.

I was thinking of buying them their own personal DVD players, but I don't know.

Do you not want them to have "i" products?? If you don't mind maybe an ipod? If not then what about some kind of experience? Sporting event, theatre? concert depending on what he is into?

I was going to suggest an ipod too. Not a touch, coz they're too easy to break. But maybe a shuffle? Something to just store music on.
DD got a digital camera for her 10th birthday. She got a generic brand ipod last christmas. Stores photo's & music.

Have you thought about a DS? My girls both have one (lite) & I'm getting DS one for christmas. I normally wouldn't, but I'll get second hand. & mainly because we do alot of long car drives. Even without games the kids can all connect together through them & chat & draw pictures & send them to each other. my girls only get along through their DS's

I am looking at the tablets that Kmart have. They are $99 and seem quite good.

For an 11 year old - Lego, board games (old enough for Warhammer stuff too now he's into that sort of thing), books, films, CDs, school supplies, diary, camera, bathing products...

What about a bunch of 'little' things, rather than one big thing....? Sometimes kids just like the experience of stuff and presents, rather than the value.....I'd still be thinking about Lego, outdoor game things (balls, bats, skateboard, scooter etc), books/comics, my brothers were still into craft type things at that age (woodwork/paint etc), figurines to paint from those roleplay game places....

Yeah we don't want him to have i things. We have a Wii and can't really afford games for 2 lots of things if we were to buy a DS. He's unfortunately over receiving lego for presents. We've hammered that to death LOL. Thankfully my 8yr old doesn't care if he gets more lego

He is interested in military stuff at the moment like WW I, WW II vintage. But I am not sure where to even start looking LOL. He's not a craft/puzzle type kid. Might see if I can find some cheap models he can build.

What about accessories for the wii? Guitar hero or something?

Maybe start with ebay for military stuff?
