    failsafe pizza alternative

DS' class is making pizza on Wednesday. I need to provide something he can eat at the moment.... Any ideas for a savoury snack? I can do a dairy, gluten-free carob muffin. but I think he might be getting a bit sick of that.

(just FYI, no dairy, no gluten, no tomatoes, no herbs, no spices... you get the picture)

Do you have a good Coles or Gluten free store you can access?

If so, they have a brand of muffin (like the breakfast ones you buy to have for breakfast) by Live Well. It's everything free. He could take those and you provide the toppings he can have to make his own pizza.
My DS2 could eat two of these for breakfast

Gluten-free base/bread. No tomato topping, but you can get goat cheese and sheep cheese - unsure about soy cheese. Lactose-free cow cheese is also available.

Flapjack goes down well here, made with goat butter.

Our local coles has bugger all, unfortunately.
do they have preservatives in? can't have those either.
    But thank you!

Maybe if I fried up some mini rostis so they're really crispy

Even a gluten free bread will crisp up well for home made pizza.
Or a pitta bread made from rice. I saw these at Coles. They were rice and water and that was pretty much it. They have corn ones as well if you are not avoiding maize.

oh thanks tfb. Well, there's no way he'd eat goat cheese! I'd have a hard time finding it anyway, I think. Should have planned a little further ahead.
We're avoiding soy, too. Corn is no good, either. sigh.

I'll have a look at coles tomorrow and see what I can find. I can put carrot and cucumber on it... oh yum.
