Losing Baby teeth - what age

I am back with another tooth question..

What age did your child start losing baby teeth. My DD will be 5 in mid November and has a wobbly tooth (she has had no injury to have caused it).

I know the normal age is 6ish, and all kids do things to their own schedule (and some kids have to lose teeth early to get the average ), but interested to hear when others started losing theirs..

We do have a dentist appointment to check and hopefully will be told she is just starting early..

Dd1 had a wobbly tooth when she turned 5 and lost her first a few months after turning 5. She is 6.5 now and has lost 6 teeth so far.

Liebling is 5 and hasn't yet - but his cousin had lost one or two before her 6th birthday. I did talk to a five-year-old who had a couple of gaps a few years back too. (She may have had a big tooth or two as well, can't really remember.)

I remember losing one just after I turned 7, so I think maybe I was late? Or maybe that was a last tooth. I also remember getting cross that my mother lied to me about a tooth fairy and testing for tooth fairy truth by not telling her when I lost a tooth.

I remember kids starting kindy with full grow adult teeth when I was in primary school. They'd have been 5 - 5.5. I haven't paid as much attention lately.
I was 7 when I lost my first (lost my last at 14 ) & my girls were 6 & 5 when they lost their first.

Both my older 2 boys lost their bottom two teeth soon after turning 5. My eldest then didn't lose any more teeth until he was nearly 7.

Losing Baby teeth - what age

Well, the tooth fell out this afternoon, and I think she swallowed it.. She came to me saying mummy, is my tooth still there? I looked and it was gone. She was hysterical thinking the tooth fairy wouldn't come cause there was no tooth.. Dh assured her that the tooth fairy would understand.. (I was trying so hard not to laugh, cause she was not worried about losing the tooth, just no tooth fairy)...

So, the tooth fairy is stopping by tonight.. Better make sure there is a clear path for her

    Yay! Congratulations little miss!!

Back to your original Q, my DD1 lost her first tooth after she was six, but she got her teeth late too. My GF little girl had 6 teeth lost before she turned 6. Another GF's DS has only just lost his first tooth - at 8.

I thought it was all too quick too. There was no sign of a wobbly tooth before yesterday (I brush her teeth after she does every day/night) Dh is taking her to the dentist tomorrow just to be sure. There was no pain, no blood, so I think all is ok.. Except my baby girl is growing up.. Dh even did a tooth fairy letter for her..

My middle daughter lost her first 2 bottom teeth at 4yrs4months. She is now 5yrs5months and has lost 6teeth (3 are now replaced with adult teeth and 3 aren't through yet) she also has her 6yr old molars which she got by 4.5yrs. The dentist said she was very young. S had her first two bottom teeth at 10weeks. I just put it down to her been an early developer in that department. My eldest was quite abit older and my youngest was 4.5months when she got her first teeth so I think she will be a later tooth developer then her sister which is a good thing.
