Quick advice needed - doll house for a 3 year old?

I'm looking at buying a gorgeous Hape wooden doll house for DD1 (who has just turned 3) for Christmas. It's in our playgroup fundraising brochure and is a really good, exclusive deal which finishes today.

So, is a doll house a good idea for a 3 year old? It's wooden as is all the beautiful furniture and dolls so it should last a long time.

Any thought (ASAP!) would be appreciated!

    Excellent! Thanks girls!

I thought it was so expensive at first but after a lot of research, it seems like a bargain. It's $300 for the house plus seven rooms of furniture, a full family and pets! It's adorable!!

That is probably a good price for everything, and you have a second girl that will make use of it as well. Go for it!

Sounds like a lovely present and a good price especially with all the gear to go with it.

Eta- each room of furniture is priced at about $50 and the actual houses at a quick glance about $200. I say go for it, especially if your 3yo likes imaginary play.

Bummer, it's not very clear but you get the idea. It's the Hape All Seasons dolls house. It's even got a little nursery set for the baby complete with a play gym!
