vomiting, slept all morning, sunken eyes-help please.

    DS is sick.
Daddy put his breakfast on the table this morning and everytime he left the bedroom to go eat it he came running back within a few seconds on the verge of tears.
He told me his tummy hurts and indicated it was just below his belly button.
He lied down on the bed with me for a cuddle and fell asleep, which is unheard of for him.
20 mins or so later he woke up and vomited a very small amount of breastmilk and heaved a few more times. He lied on the bed talking to me for a few minutes then had another BF and went back to sleep.

He doesn't seem to have a temperature, he's not lethargic or difficult to rouse, but is obviously tired and quite pale.

About mid morning I also noticed his eyes look a bit sunken / bruised. Should I be worried about this? He shouldn't be dehydrated, he breastfed over night as well as a few times this morning and he has vomited less than a teaspoon of milk.

Getting him to a doctor today is just not possible, unless we go to the hospital. And I'd have to call an ambulance because I cant find my bus card and I have no money

    Thanks ladies,

I realised it's Sunday and called the after hours gp. He was here within 30 mins and by the time he got here DS had gone from how I described above to talking, eating a banana and jumping on the bed.
Doc checked him out anyway and said he is fine but if he vomits again, is lethargic or in a lot of pain get him to a doctor.

I was young when I had my appendix out. I remember not wanting to eat and having an intense belly ache.
But, if he's feeling better then maybe it was just something minor.

    Hope he's OK.

The doctor suggested it may be the beginning of gastro
My first thought was appendicitis too, but I think that's because my brother had it when he was young...

poor boy. Hate to see our kids getting sick =(

When DD had it she also just wanted to lie down and did not want to eat. Milk just came back out straight away.

She also did not have a fever and wasn't whinging just was tired.

The whole family then caught it as it is highly contagious even though we took precautions.

Hope he gets well soon and no one else catches it.
