Will try make my story as short as possible
DH & I have been TTC#1 >8yrs
Along the way we have had 1 ectopic, 2 chemical pregnancies, 2 unsuccessful IVF attempts, been told I have a v.low AMH and would never conceive and we should consider an egg donor if we wanted a child.
I am 36 DH is 35
Anyway last Thursday I got a BFP ... was shocked esp as DH does FIFO so limits our chances to me ovulating at a time when he is home, regardless we were not really even trying!
My HCG was 600 that day and on Monday i had some brown blood so went to doc who took more bloods and sent me for a scan, the scan showed nothing, they couldnt find, see anything but my bloods came back with HCG >2000 and my progesterone was high too (cannot remember what)
Yesterday I had more brown stuff and this morning had some more so went back to the doctor who said that I have to rest so take rest of week off work.
I am petrified, I have no idea what to expect from my body at the moment, never been this far pregnant before so no idea what to expect of my body. I have no symptoms as such, boobs are sore but not too bad, not bloated, no twinges, just dull lower back pain.
My cycles are stupid so they cannot pinpoint how far along I am but I know that at MAX conception was 5 weeks ago because that was hubbys last rotation. He was home for 2 weeks, away for 2 and back a week when I got the BFP Min i am 3 weeks from conception but with a HCG of >2000 I would say I am more than 3 weeks but I do not know.
At the mo the blood is freaking me out, we so want this to work for us .... we have had so much heartbreak in 8 yrs we could do with some good stuff happening.
This is all so hard !!!!
I had those Hcg numbers when I was 4.5 wks I don't think you can see anything that early I had a scan at 5 wks all they could see was a circle no baby or anything but at 8 weeks there was a baby so hopefully your early I really hope this works ok for you mayby implantation bleeding if your early
It sounds like very early days so that is probably why nothing could be seen. I hope you have a lovely sticky bubba and that the bleeding stops. Rest like you were told and try very hard not to stress (yeah right, I know).
it sounds like it is early 4-5 weeks so yeah a scan wouldnt show anything and it ties in with the brown blood which is a sign of old blood and usually connected to an implantation bleed (where little embryo snuggles in nice and deep into your uterus). any bleeding is scary for a Mama, but the brown stuff is usually the ok stuff! i had brown spotting/bleeding with 2 out of 3 of my successful pregnancies in the 4-5 week pregnant mark.
there is also a chance of breakthrough bleeding which generally occurs once a month for a couple months after conception (ties in with your regular AF cycle). this too is normal!
