What are your kids getting for christmas?

Looking for idea's, coz I have none!

DS just got a second hand DS as an early present. We were camping & h was losing his mind fighting the girls for theirs. I planned to get one for the trip home anyway, so got it a little early. He won't be getting much else.

I have a trampoline & plastic cubby house thing on layby, so thats the only big expensive stuff they'll be getting.

We're heading back to NSW from WA, in the car for christmas, so needing small things that don't take up much room. Books are something they'll be getting, but any others idea's would be great

Can you get some travel games - you know, the magnetic ones where the pieces don't go everywhere. Not sure about your views on things, but if you don't already have one maybe a portable DVD player for the car.

DDs 1 and 2 are getting new bikes for Christmas so the poor loves aren't riding around anymore with their bums on the ground with their knees above their ears!! They will also get the usual books, puzzles, games etc and then stocking fillers are generally hair things, art stuff etc.

I have absolutely no idea what to get for DD3. She's going to be at that really difficult age where she's about to become mobile and will go through such huge changes. We need to get her some books and a few simple activity things but otherwise no clue.

Have a DVD player in the car. Some games & game books might be the go. But they got alot of that stuff last year, as we came over just after christmas

DS games would be a good idea. Or just finding the 8 i bought last year

Part of the presents will be hopefully picking up their bikes & wii etc & bringing them home with us. Haven't had them for a year

Games for the DS, DVD's for the cra trip, travel games.
    Board games, Books, craft stuff.

Not sure what my girls are getting, DD1 just got a quad bike for her b'day and we gave DD2 one aswell.
They have a swing set and got a trampoline last year.

We could look at a cubby but i think DP wants to build one - i'm VERY stuck.

Am going to the Mattel factory thing tomorrow though so i might have to look at Barbie stuff and maybe a decent dolls house or barbie house etc.

My boys are getting a new trampoline mat as a joint present. That's if I ever get off my butt and order it LOL. The one they have currently is the same one I had as a teenager.

They are all getting a pair of Nike's each from us.
In their Santa sacks they have a personalised blanket each, the older 2 have 2 books each, and the younger one has a book and a pair of wireless headphones which is something he really really wants for some reason LOL.

I think that will be about it. I was going to do portable DVD players for them all, but the jury is still out on that.

The only thing we have decided on is a basketball hoop for DD (The adjustable height one) and a ball to go with it. Thinking of getting her an Xbox game as well so she can play and leave DH alone when he plays his. A fishing rod and hat from her Nanna and Pop.
I also picked up the Pop up Pirate game for her. She is starting to like playing games so maybe a few easy ones for her.

They are all getting a trampoline, and DS is getting a Transformer and a giant box of Lego (1600 pieces.. I think Santa will curse herself for that if she steps on some during the middle of the night ). The twins are getting a outdoor climbing gym with TWO slides - no more fighting over our slide. Although they will probalby still fight over which slide they get. They will all get a book from Santa too. Other years I have gone mad and brought heaps of bits and pieces, but I am trying to be restrained this year

DS is getting a sandpit in the shape of a boat, with a steering wheel, sunshade etc and a christmas stocking filled with little things, playdough, bubble wand, matchie cars all the little things he loves. I have asked Grandparents for practical things, bed sheets, books, puzzles, clothing etc. Because his birthday is in November we try and give him a decent birthday present and then Christmas is more of a combined thing like Beatrix mentioned

    Oh, I've forgotten!

Anyone wanting an awesome idea for the grandparents etc, look up Keepsake Blankets on Facebook. I'm planning to get the kids one each, as well as one for myself & both sets of grandparents. I bought my niece one for her first birthday & its awesome

We are doing a road trip over christmas too, not quite so far but Adelaide to Northern NSW will be interesting with three small children

DD1 will be 6 and is getting 2 books, power wing scooter (she requested this), 3 small folkmanis hand puppets, pillow pet slippers
DD2 will be 4 and is getting 2 books, a 2 wheel scooter which came with a skateboard, pillow pet slippers, a small wicker case with a tin tea set
DD3 will be 9 months is getting a lamaze ring stacker, small alphabet dino and a toy letterbox

Stockings for older girls will have cheap hairclips, jewellery, bubble bath, nightie, singlet and undies set (wont need to pack as many for our holidays) bubble bath, skipping rope DD3 is getting PJ's, a soft book and a sock moneky (the sock monkey should pretty much fill the stocking!) and a $2 inflatable beach ball to use in Popas pool.

We are lucky as my parents are coming down at the end of the month and bringing an empty suitcase to take some things in for us and once they have opened everything it should be easier to bring home minus packaging

The older girls birthdays are coming up and they are getting portable DVD players (for the road trip ) Cheap as chips had bright lap top stable tables with little lights so they are getting one each to do colouring/mini puzzles on while we drive. Ebay cheap-o pettiskirts as they are into girly stuff. DD2 is getting a night light that doubles as a torch as she likes a night light but her current lamp is really bright even with the lowest watt bulb we could put in it and she is getting a barbie puzzle. DD1 is getting a Princess Jasmine(from Aladdin) doll as she is into princess Jasmine right now, probably because they share a name . She is getting Gellez I think they are called which are in the craft section

DD1s requests were the scooter, an ipad, trampoline, motorised car, new swing set and a mobile phone!!! She has very expensive taste and we had to say no way to most and explained father christmas had to buy stuff to make these things and the stuff to make them costs too much money for every child to get one! Maybe when she is bigger she might get a phone or ipad, like 10 years older!!!

Novella my DD1 wants all that stuff too. She's almost 11 & still not that lucky

Thankfully the little kids really have no idea what half that stuff is, let alone what you do with it.

A new bike - DD is too small for the one she has now. That is the major present. (She already has a trampoline, cubby house & swing set) She has picked out a few educational toys from a catalogue I picked up through kinder. She'll also be getting clothes b/c she usually has a growth spurt over the summer months
