My 5 year old is in her 4th term of kindy and loves it. However, I'm moving towns due to expensive living and personal reasons. Ideally I would like to stick this town out until she finishes kindy but I don't know if i can.
She is a fairly shy child who is not very social until she comes out of her shell. She has only recently learnt to write her name etc.
My question is, do you think that moving her and changing Kindys will affect her poorly? I don't want to have troubles adjusting and to go backwards in what she has learnt so far. The new town has our family in it so she will go ok with the move I believe. It's just the kindy aspect that concerns me
Kate: i reckon you will feel it more than your daughter as in kids even the shyest (spelling) they adapt and the teachers are there to help with the new transition!
When would you need to move?
If you could hold off till next term which is next year well then it would be easier again ...
I personally have been through this with my kids but i take the emotion out of it and do what makes me happy and in the long term will benefit my kids....( i packed up and left an abusive husband) i and now im in my second house in 18 months and am seriously thinking about the 3rd and final move as my oldest starts yr 7 and then i have a 4 and 2 yr old...in early 2013 want to move back to Cheltenham where i lived for 7 yrs before i was married....
