TMI question about almost 21 month old bowel movements....

Ok, I have a kinda gross question which is brought on by the fact that I plan to start seeing if DD is ready to potty train in a couple of months.

DD has pretty much the same diet has us but her bowel movements are often quite errm 'soft' still. Soft enough to squish into any little crevice... (But I'm not sure if this is just cause she has a nappy in and they'd look more 'normal' if she were to go in a potty??? It's not diarrhoea by any sense of the imagination....but it doesn't look like it'll be much fun to clean out her potty or her undies....so my question is....is this normal? Or could it possible be a sign of an intolerance of some kind?

Anyone have any experiences to share?

A soft poo is good and yep, I would say it is because she has a nappy on. DD2 has done the odd poo on the ground (outside) when I let her run around without a nappy and it looks like a (looking for least disgusting discribing words) poo would if it was one in the loo.

My 3 year old (who is totally not interested in toilet training) still does very loose poo. Occasionally she will do one in her nappy that looks like a log, but mostly still squishy.

Sounds pretty normal to me.

Sounds normal to me too. I wondered the same when we started TT DS3, but when he did a poo in the potty or toilet it was still soft but it was formed like a log when it hit the bowl IYKWIM Still squishy if done in undies but even a more solid log will squish if sat on
