Hot, sweaty in bed and Breastfeeding!

I'm just at the start of my bf journey and I'm finding that I'm very hot and sweaty in bed. Even sleeping without blankets leaves me bathed in sweat so every time I get up to feed, I have to put a nightie in so I don't get cold from my own sweat.
Has anyone else experienced this, especially while still establishing a supply? DD is 9 days old.

I did! Apparently it's a common side effect of breastfeeding :/. It seemed to resolve when breastfeeding went from hormonally driven to supply driven - a couple of months? It's very irritating isn't it? Hope it resolves for you soon

Oh the sweats are awful :-( I remember waking up and feeling like I had been swimming cause I was soaked. So many hormones running around our bodies. It does pass Hun xxx

Yes it is totally normal - and it's all hormonal. yay! It does settle down after a few weeks though.

Yep, I remember that all too well! I would constantly wake up soaking.

Oh yeah baby! ahhh things for me to look forward to in the not too distant future

It feels so gross! I would have midnight showers when it got really bad as all my breastpads would be soaked and my pants (felt like i had weed myself sometimes!).

oh, and the sweat between and under the boobs!! Ah, yes, totally normal, totally hormonal and thankfully, short-lived

Lol gals! Glad I'm not the only one! Sleeping in minimal attire and just a sheet most nights and gonna need to change the sheets today. All sweaty!
