Ride on lawnmower too loud for a bub?

We have a new baby - a beautiful, bright red ride on lawnmower. He was ordered a few weeks ago and given the snake I saw yesterday he hasn't arrived a second too soon.

Just wondering if he would be too noisy for me to do the mowing while carrying DD3 in the ergo. We have so much garden that I need to deal with and there is only just so much that I can get done while she's sleeping (both from a time and cleanliness perspective), and at this age she doesn't amuse herself for very long at all while she's awake, so it would be fantastic if I could at least mow the grass while she's up and about.

I wouldn't consider using ear protection myself while using him, but I'm conscious of her hearing being more delicate than mine - notwithstanding how loudly she can screech and scream when she wants to Thoughts?

I think you would need itty, bitty ear muffs.
    Or those shapeable ear plugs.

You can buy baby ear muffs...I would grab some and see how she goes with a pair.

You can get them from Nature's Child I think? But remember that the noise isn't the only thing that will affect her. THe vibration of the machine will also be going through her body.

I would pop ear muffs on.
DD1 doesn't mind the sound at all but DD2 at 2.5 complains if she is too close to it.

I had seen them but i think it was Pumpkin Patch and that would have been winter.

Definitely Ear Muffs would be the best thing, ear plugs would be quite uncomfortable for them - I used them when we took take DS to the formula 1.

I was actually hoping that would be putting her to sleep!! Will see how she goes Hopefully she'll like it. If not, I can see some pretty weird crop circles coming on . . .

    Thanks everyone
