    Gallstones/gallbladder and nausea

The dr told me to go straight to hospital of I had any sign of fever, vomiting or intense pain. (Gallstones and inflamed gallbladder)
The pain is bearable and no signs of fever but the nausea is killing me. It's like m/s all over again.
Is this the kinda thing I should just suck up until I finish the a/bs or is it worth getting it checked again do you think?? I don't want to seem like I'm being a sook or making it out to be worse than it is. I just dont want it to be something more. I'm meant to be gong away on Friday so want to get it sorted.
Thinking ill suck it up and go back to my own dr tomorrow anyway.

My Dr did mention nausea as a symptom and I do have it sometimes but I got the impression that no one will do much unless you are in pain anyways.

There can be gas involved with gallstones - have you tried antacids? That may reduce the nausea. Or not, but it is cheap and worth a shot

My dad had gallstones 2 years ago.. He thought he had a virus cause he was vomiting all day (no fever, just vomiting).. we ended up calling an ambulance in the middle of the night and he didn't come home for 3 days... So yes it is worth getting checked out..

I had extreme pain with my gallstone but I don't remember nausea....then again it was 12 years ago.

If in doubt, ring your local casualty department.

I hope you feel better soon

    Gallstones/gallbladder and nausea

The nausea is common with gallstones. Pain alone can cause nausea.

When I had my first attack, my first symptom was nausea which came and went in waves. Then I had a power chuck and felt better. I found that it was the spasms causing my nausea and that buscopan helped control that (spasms).

But if worried, please go back and get checked.

I had extreme nausea and vomiting after every attack - to the point that I couldn't keep down anything, even water, for anything up to 12 hours after an attack.

I really feel for you, hun.
