TTC while breast feeding and have had endo

Ok long story short was diagnosed with endo about 4yrs ago have had two laparoscopy and managed a bfp after 2nd one. Bubby is now 9mths and af hasn't returned yet been on mini pill until mid/late October then decided to ttc #2 been doing opk and getting no result.

My question being (I think) is it realistic to think I could get pregnant fairly quickly again while still breast feeding day and night without having had af return. Im so worried about endo growing back and needing surgery again. Specialist said that once I was done breast feeding to go straight back for number 2 but didn't explain what effect bf has on the endo or why to wait till I was done. I am completely confused by all this and can't seem to find info on what effect bf has on endo and if we are likely to get pregnant again. Don't really want to trek back to specialist if I can avoid it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

We started TTC#2 as soon as AF returned. It was a couple of months earlier than planned, but we didn't want to give my endo a chance to grow back. I used OPKs and charted temps, starting from the 3rd PPAF. When I started charting, I found out that I was Oing late and had a short LP, due to the BF, which meant our timing had been wrong the first 2 months. We got a BFP in the 3rd cycle of charting, but lost the baby due to chromosomal abnormalities. I haven't had another BFP since and had a repeat lap in August (which, thankfully, showed just a small amount of endo re-growth the 13 months since my first PPAF).

Unfortunately, I also have DOR, so we're fighting an uphill battle to catch the right egg. I think the DOR is playing a bigger role in our IF at this stage since the endo seems to be well under control. If you still have a decent ovarian reserve then you should have a good chance at a BFP before your endo grows back.

Yep, it'll start coming back once your cycles resume. If you're breastfeeding, it could be a little while yet before that happens, though.
There's often an assumption that you will a) wean early and b) not want to continue breastfeeding while TTC or pregnant, which is probably why the doctor phrased it that way.

If you have no other fertility issues, it is entirely possible that you will be fertile while continuing to breastfeed, so long as your cycles have resumed. Some women find that breastfeeding affects their fertility for longer or even once cycles have resumed. It's very individual. While breastfeeding may delay the resumption of your cycles, I don't think it has a direct effect on endo.
