    Safety mission

So DD1 had a couple of really bad falls over the weekend and now I'm thinking that I really have to do something about the TV cabinet which had been bugging me for ages. It has quite a sharp edging on it and I'm worried if anyone goes head first into it (and you know what a magnet for kids TVs are) then we're looking at stitches. I had thought I'd buy some felt tape to edge it with but I've gone to a couple of places and can't find any. Any ideas where I'd get some or something else like that to make it a bit kid friendlier?

Yep, rubber corners are the way to go! I think places like Big w sell them and also the baby stores

We have a caesarstone kitchen bench with sharp corners at head banging height. DH went to Bunnings and came home with these big soft foam like corners that stick on. Yep, they are pretty ugly but really do the job. We considered the clear rubbery plastic ones but decided they were still a bit too hard (albeit much less conspicuous).

And the clear rubbery ones (got mine from Target) fall off really easily, so you need to glue them on or something.

    Go another option.

Thanks everyone. I have got the rubber corners on it already but I'd like something to soften the whole length of it. My youngest hit a the edge of a coffee table recently too which had a much less severe edging and split her head. So I'm just worried if they hit anywhere along this cabinet it could result in a really bad cut to the head. I might just replace the whole thing!

Could you split a hollow pool noodle type bit of foam and slide it on? I bought some lengths of foam like that from Clark rubber for a different purpose. Thankfully my DD is only just starting to roll so we have some time before we need to pad and baby proof completely.

I ageee with K4T, The pool noodle works well. We have one on DSs bunk so he won't hit his head on it. It might be a bit tight at first but will soon mould to where you need it. Cheap too!
