Pantomimes ??

Hi

Not having been born here Im not really sure if Pantomimes are a big thing in Australia at Christmas. Both my DH and I have clear really great memories of going to Panto's with our parents when we were little and would love to be able to do the same for DS. I've not really seen any advertised and have checked a few of the more local theatres and they aren't running them. Apparently there used to be one in the Opera House but again can't find anything there either. Are they just not on any more or am i being dense and missing the advertisements?

I take it you're from the UK? The only annual pantomime I know of is here in WA in the town of Denmark. I know that's no help for Sydney, but it means there may be others around?

Close Pheebee Irish! My DH is the POM in our family! Fingers crossed if there is one over West there will be one somewhere here too. Am thinking some of the RSLs might have them but hopefully someone will be on who knows something!

Ha I am from the UK too and adored pantomimes and even in a small town we had a couple to choose from, and I remember most of the Home and Away and Neighbours stars coming over to UK to do pantomime in the big cities- so assume they are not so big over here - I am in Melbourne haven't heard anything but haven't actually looked yet - I forget Christmas is coming up because of the difference in seasons.
