DS17 missed an appointment and has missed a few classes, he received a letter saying his Youth Allowance is being suspended. He rang yesterday, was on the phone for about an hour, the lady has told him to ring today and speak to a Social Worker. He doesn't feel comfortable talking on the phone and would prefer to speak to the Social Worker in person, can he refuse to do a phone interview?
he can request a face to face interview, but it will depend on the availability of someone in his local office. a lot of the social worker network are based in call centres so it's hard for face to face contact to occur. all he can do is ask though....
