Just wondering if there are any eligibility rules in regards to how long you have worked st s particular job. So eg, I've worked at current job for 2 years. If I leave for work with a different employer say in January and then have a baby late next year would I still qualify?
The work requirement isn't to do with a particular employer but how much you have worked the the previous months. The exact figures escape me, but it's something like 10 out of the previous 13 months for at least 15 hours per week. The exact figures escape me but they are on the human services website.
You could work for a different employer every monk (casuals/temps do this) as long as you meet the other criteria (10 of previous 13 months, at least 330 hours in that time, no break between worked days that exceeds 8weeks)
The 12 months of continuous employment comes into it when you are looking at employer provided payments for parents leave, and things like having a job to go back to after the birth of your child.
