There will be some big fat juicy green caterpillars on it somewhere. They seem to find my mint every year too. I used to spray with pyrethrum. Now i don't bother as i have enough mint to get through the year and they don't eat that much. Just make it look a bit scruffy. But there are natural alternatives to pyrethrum too.
- ABC gardening website.Add two tablespoons of soap flakes to one litre of water and stir thoroughly until completely dissolved (this is quicker in warm water). There is no need to dilute this further, just spray it on as is.
