    Natural Gingerbread House Decorations?

I have never made a gingerbread house, in fact I've only ever made ginger bread once before and I have some rolled out in the fridge as I type I'm doing a trial run as I would like to make a house for a Christmas party. I have used organic Rapadura sugar, organic egg, biodynamic butter and organic spelt flour in the gingerbread but I am stuck on how to decorate it. I haven't ever made royal icing but I think I will make it with palm sugar, the only problem is that it will be brown which would be fine but I want the gingerbread house to be colorful. So then I thought that I could sprinkle coconut on the roof to make it white and perhaps make up some sort of paste with the coconut which I would naturally colour with spirulina, raspberry juice and beetroot juice etc, I will experiment but was hoping someone had some experience they can share? What other natural decorating can I do?

Could you use dried fruits on it? Apricots, sultanas, cranberries etc??

That's a good idea Tanstar, apricots and some of the berries can be pretty bright.

My ginger bread didn't work properly last night, I looked at the recipe and I put in an extra cup of sugar the good thing is that I've been wantign to make gingerbread icecream so I will just use it for that and it will taste awesome!

But back to the gingerbread house, looks like I will need to make the ginger bread again and still work out how to make it bright and colourful.
