Question Parenting payment single & % of care

Hi would anyone know what % of care you have to have to receive parenting payment single? How many nights a week?

    I hope that makes sense.

At least 35% of care in one week

Ummm I think as long as you do majority - and only one parent can claim for it.

As long as you are primary carer and are first applicant. If you have 50/50 care and both claim at same time, there would be a needs assessment to see who would get it

The 35% mentioned is the minimum care required to get ftb. It has no bearing on pps

If someone has 1 kid, 2 nights a week and 2 kids, 1 night a week are they able to claim pps, if the other parent hasn't claimed it?

The centrelink estimator came up with they would receive pps, I thought more care would be required.

They can only claim if they are deemed the primary carer of one of the children. The estimator doesn't make that determination. Generally with that sort of arrngemenr they are not primary carer of any one child
