    2/12/12 - retrogal's 2nd little princess is here

    Hi everyone,

    Retrogal went into labour last Sunday (her EDD!!) and sms'd me at 12.50pm, I rang her and her DP answered, I could hear in the background that she was in labour. We contacted the hospital as her last labour (October 2010) was a quick one - they said that she could either come in for a look-see or stay at home. Retrogal said she would feel more comfortable at the hospital so off we went - it was much easier to get her in the car than last time!

    She was 6cm dialated on arrival at the hospital. We were ushered into a birthing room and we all laboured - her DP was on back massage duty and I was on motivation duty. After a bit of gas and just under 2 hours, Retrogal had pushed the head out - without tearing/re-tearing her previous 3rd degree tear. Next the baby and the waters shot out - literally shot out of Retrogal.

    It is my great privilege and honour to announce that Toni Francine P******* was born at 4.15pm on 2 December 2012 (Retrogal's DD1 was born at 1.15am!

    Weight: 8lb 8 oz
    Length: 52cm
    HC: 35.5cm

    Retrogal - thank you for again allowing me to share in the birth of your child.

    ETA - she did end up with a tear - a partial 3rd degree due to the force of bubba flying out... but she did so well not to tear with the head
