Bakers cyst.

C-dude (6) has a lump behind his knee which is approx the size of a 20 cent piece. The sonographer said she is certain it is cystic and most likely a bakers cyst but we need to wait till we see the dr again for his opinion (which I have to wait a week for thanks to a combination of small town and the silly season).

Has anyone had experience with these in children? He is a normal active little fella that is a bit on the clumsy side but hasnt had any major injuries that could have caused a tear in the knee (well that i know of). I've been reading up that they generally resolve with children and not cause any long term issues which is reassuring!

I'd be interested to know how long they took to resolve if anyone knows of a child that's had one

Interesting....I'd get the other possible causes checked out too!
