    After 21 months...

AF decided Christmas Day would be the perfect time to return DH is devastated because he's worried it'll last a whole week and ruin some of his plans for our week off work.

I'm torn, happy that I now have a cycle to track and can ttc properly when the time comes, but annoyed at the timing. Plus I really enjoyed all those months of just never worrying about it!

A question though, does it usually go back to normal? Did yours? I had no cramping, no signs it was coming, which is odd. And it seems really light. I'd be happy for it to stay like this!

Had you been BF? Might just be trying to get back into the swing of things.

Yep, breastfeeding is still going strong! I knew it would delay AF but didn't really expect it to take this long, it's been nice not worrying about it.

It was actually really easy on Christmas day with no cramping or anything. And as I go on I'm super excited that now I get to prepare for ttc! I reckon you're probably right brightsparkles, it'll take a while to sort itself out so it'll be good to do a few months of charting I reckon.

I got mine back straight away, did not miss a beat. Same as before I was pregnant, about a 32ish day cycle, give or take a couple of days. the only difference between now and before I was pregnant, is it is now so much heavier. like crazy heavier, a couple of times it has been so heavy I have thought about going to the dr. (I even did once, but that time I was't even 100% sure it was my period - because of the heaviness). I haven't had the same pain either, use to have a day or so of mild cramping, now though I have random times of moderate cramping, which lasts like an hour or so, and then will have a few hours of it being really really heavy (clots and all), itms...

but in terms of cycle days etc, it was straight back to being regular straight away.

ps. I got my very first period of xmas day. and got it xmas day this year too. fun times =P GL with the TTC!!

Bugger TT, no break from AF and it came back heavier, that sucks! I'm going to count myself lucky right now and just hope I go back to my regular 28 day cycle.

    Thanks for the luck

Umm not to freak you out but the time mine 'returned' light with no cramping (then hung around for over a week like that!) was not actually af it was a subcorionic haematoma... I was pg with dd1! Not saying that's the case with you of course everyones comes back different but if it were me I'd probably poas to be sure

Really? That'sinteresting! Mine hasn't necessarily been light, just back to normal. I wouldn't class my regular AF as heavy anyway, probably medium. Yesterday was one of my heavier days but still fairly regular.

You've got me wondering though, I might do a sneaky poas tomorrow morning

Yeah well ill be stalking to find out how you go
In my case I wouldnt say the bleeding was light for the first few days either just not quite as heavy as prepregnancy and none of the horrendous cramps I got before. It slowed down after a few days to be more like what would be considered 'light' then just tapered off somewhat to more like spotting (but still fresh blood I'm pretty sure) it just dragged on and on for nearly two weeks though which is ironically what made me think 'somethings funny here, better do a pg test'... Was still pretty shocking when it came up pos though as ds was only 4 1/2months fully bf and at the time had no actual pg symptoms. Crazy I know! But she's a beautiful precious little girl and I'm so glad she decided to surprise us with her entrance hehe

Phew, it was negative! Not that I wouldn't love a baby, but the thought of being already pregnant, not knowing how far along and not planning to ttc for another 3-6 months really freaked me out lol.

So I'm going with this being regular AF with no cramping, which is nice!

    Re: After 21 months...

HSM ~ thats why i went to the dr the first time! my bleeding was only a couple of weeks after my pn bleeding i didnt know it was my period (didnt expect it to be) and it was so heavy with large clots i thought if it wasnt pn bleeding (if it was it wasnt normal and meant something was wrong) i thought i might have been miscarring (even tho its impossible for us to have a natural pg).
