Inner ear infection causing snoring? Apnoea? Loss of appetite?

DS has his first ear infection and I've noticed he its a bit congested and snoring a lot. Possibly a little sleep apnoea (scary )
Hes also not really eating much. Would that be from pain or just because hes feeling yuck?
How long before the constant high temp goes away?

Is this all normal for an inner ear infection?

My poor little little guy. I just want to cuddle him all night. I hate not being able to help him when he's hurting and miserable.

Hes on antibiotics and (miraculously) we havent missed any doses yet but he seems to be getting worse. Tomorrow (Sunday) will be day 4. Should we be seeing imrovement by now?
We have a follow up appointment tomorrow, so I guess Ill ask the doctor. Hes so sad and tired and sick. He keeps crying randomly and saying he feels yucky. Its heartbreaking. I just want to fix it for him.

ETA- This probably seems stupid, but while hes had a few nasty colds, hes never been this unwell. Hes so miserable. I just want to scoop him up and make it all ok and I cant

Sometimes if it's a bad infection it may take a few days to seem like it's getting better. I recently had a tooth abcess and was on two different types of abs and it still took me a good 4 days to start feeling better and probably another 3 days after I'd finished taking them to feel a lot better.

Ah the ear infections: DS1 (who is now 8yo) used to get them with every tooth.
All of the above sounds quite normal to me. And if I remember correctly the fever usually breaks between day 3 and day 5 (or somewhere around there). Our doctor used told us to keep giving paracetamol when fever was high (over 37.5) and as much fluid as he would drink. (so the fever doesn't dehydrate him).
Good on you for keeping constant with the AB doses, I used to set a timer so I would remember.

    Hope he feels better soon.
