Schoolkids bonus

They website says it's getting paid from the 9th -23rd of January. I get paid on the 9th but it's not showing up as a future payment, does that mean I will have to wait until the 23rd to receive it?

I also get paid on the 9th and it's not showing up. I think it will be like the other bonuses and show up the day before in the website.

Maybe they will go in randomly, not sure. Payments usually show up 2 days before it goes in.

lol they always start these things the day after I get my FTB... which means I have to wait another 2 weeks... wish the shops had of coincided their sales with the bonus instead of starting them a week before

I just checked Centrelink online, my school kids bonus is now showing up as being paid on Wednesday. yay!

Apparently they're going in with Family payments so not just randomly. Knowing my luck I will get it next fortnight. Thankfully there isn't much more I need to get other than DS2's school shirts & bag which are only available through his school anyway. DD2 has been getting things each week but needs a new school bag. The extra money will definitely come in handy!

What is the school kids bonus? I have my DD starting this year so I have no idea about these things.
Guess I better ask what are the eligibility criteria?

you must have a child in primary or secondary study, and you must be eligible for ftba for your family (they're the main points anyway!)
if so, jump online with your online services and notify that your child is starting school (only required for those starting primary or secondary school this year - all others will be deemed to be either school or not school aged based on age)

BG - what happens if you are homeschooling? Am I still eligable? DD i 5 and the school she is going to is too small to be considered a school, so technically she is enrolled as homeschooled until the school qualifies as a school. I still need to buy her books & stationary and a uniform though, so any extra $$ would help

Mine is showing as going in on Wednesday 9th was expecting immunisation payment til I just found out we don't get it lol
