    Worming tablet dramas

    Hi ,sorry to gross anyone out but ive just wormed my nearly 4 year old,ive never done it before but shes a very irritable child and getting worse and complains of stomache aches etc anyway i keep getting asked if ive wormed her so i finaly did but eeek is it always this bad?or do they only have this if they do actually have worms?i gave her the tablet tuesday lunch time and shes still a pooing machine really bad and complaining of stomache ache shes pooing every like half hour and today every fifteen minutes!! some is diarehoa some isnt but very soft and gross looking.She wasnt complaining of the stomache ache before but today she is any advice??

    Perhaps you could call the health line to check? I would imagine that if you gave her the correct dose, then it would probably be ok. Pehaps she's just unwell. Hope she's doing better soon

    If you gave her the correct dose, then it is likely that she had a bad investation and the drugs are doing their job (remember to do the follow up doses as well, or you won't erradicate them properly. It is normal for these drugs to produce loose stools (its part of how they flush the worms out of the system).

    Thanks for that,never done them before so was a bit worried in her self she seems ok,horrible things!

    If you look at the label or instructions you will see they often can have a laxative effect. So it is normal. Of course, as with any drug, adverse reactions can happen so if it doesn't stop or if she is in a lot of pain or something then of course get her checked out.
