    Build a bear parties

Has anyone had one or been to one? What are they like? DD would love one, but I am not sure....

    Build a bear parties

We did one for dd's 5th. I think next time I'd wait for another year, but they loved it and I still hear from parents that those toys hold a very special place and are much loved.
From there we walked over to the pancake parlor in the same complex and the had a pancake birthday cake and mini milkshakes. It was great, and so easy.

DD1 went to one. Loved the bear building etc. downside no food/ cake part there. You'd need do that elsewhere.

I was thinking if we went to high point, then we could have a teddy bears picnic at the park in Maribyrnong. Unless anyone knows anywhere better around there?

Also does anyone know how expensive? It says starting at $15, but that would give you a really basic bear I would imagine with no clothes.

We did Highpoint. We set a max of $20 per child. If they wanted clothes etc the parents could pay.
I have heard of one that comes to you, if you wanted to prepare for eating afterwards

my DD went to one last week- they set $25 per child to spend- so the kids got a reasonable bear and an outfit to take home.
afterwards the party hosts shouted the kids mc donalds in the food court- she had like 12 people at her party so it aint a cheap party.
personally if she is interested in build a bear- then when not take her and a couple of friends to build a bear privately and that way you dont have to worry about minimum numbers etc.
Btw it was a 10th birthday party she went to
