DS2, who is 5 years old, helped himself to the fridge and found a S-26 Gold Toddler milk tetra pack. As far as I know, it was still fully sealed prior to him finding it.
I just checked the packaging and I see it has a use by of 15 Dec 12. I've tried calling their info line, but it's only open M-F.
Is this likely to cause problems?? I have emetophobia (extreme irrational phobia of *sick*), so need to prepare myself!!
This will teach me to clean out the fridge more often!!
Most likely he will be fine but it might give him a little bit of a sore tummy. In your shoes I would probably have a little bucket and some towels on hand just in case and warn your son to let you know if he feels queasy. But most likely he will be fine.
I'm sure it's fine. Was it "use by" or "best by". Best by products usually last long beyond the date. Even use by is conservative, especially with kids' products. Not to be flippant but I'd think the fact that it was toddler milk would be worse than the fact that it was out of date.
