Thick green snot

My poor little DS is suffering from a blocked nose for the last couple of days, however today it's turned into a congested green thick mess. We are popping saline drops in to help loosen things up and then sucking them out (which he detests) but we don't seem to be making any headway and he is struggling to feed as he is stopping every couple of sucks to breathe through his mouth.

Does anyone have some ideas or solutions on what might help?

Turn your shower on and let it steam up and go in there with him to help with his blocked nose.

A vapouriser in his room at night and during the day when he sleeps.

Some Eukybear on his singlet and also on his feet will help as well.

I popped him in his bath this morning after having the hot shower running and that seemed to help shift some if the blockage!
