Booster seat with 5 point harness suggestions, please.

Do you have a booster seat for your child (4-8 year old) that has a 5 point harness? What sort do you have? And does it connect via an anchor point? Dunno, maybe they all have that now . Are the only ones available the seats from 0-8?

Im struggling to find a seat with the harness for DD. She isnt quite 3 1/2 but I think her height means she needs to move up to the next stage soon. I am not after a 'H' harness seat.

    TIA

Mine have moved into a safe and sound hi liner once they turn 4 - they have been 18kg and had to move from a 5 point harness anyway. So they wear the seatbelt but it has a clip that is between their legs to stop the belt slipping or going too tight in an accident.

My 3 year old is pretty tall but she's still in the maxi rider - she's about 15.5kg at the moment. (There is one month in age difference between her and yours - which is why I mentioned it lol)

The new maxi riders are awesome and have great height markers for keeping them in a harness for longer.
I just got a couple for my 3 year old (both cars) and I am really impressed with it.
I would keep kids harnessed as long as possible and the maxi rider converts to a booster with seatbelt for after too so win win

Booster seat with 5 point harness suggestions, please.

We have the safety 1st complete, ds is 2.5 and is in it with the anchor to the car, 5 point harness and seat belt securing the seat too. He is very tall so needed to go into the booster but I didn't want him in a H harness either.

We have a maxirider, too. it's a sort of inbetweener - forward facing with harness, converting to booster seat. DS is stll pretty smal and will fit in the harness for some time yet!
You could try a baby store to find out a bit more about options and get some ideas. it's easier when you can 'see' it. you don't have to buy there, of course

Booster seat with 5 point harness suggestions, please.

The new height markers are great, ours are in a hi liner which fits them really well. In the MR with sash belt it didn't fit DS at all and we can't use it all til he is talker( older model and DS is 20kgs now).

Can they stay in a 5 point harness until they no longer require a booster seat?

Some kids probably could. It goes by height now so it's a matter of trying them in each seat to see how long they will get.
Kids need to be in a booster till 7 so the convertible boosters that have a harness and then can be used without too will last right to then or more

Does the ezy combo have a weight limit or just height - never thought of it before DD is well within height but is 18.1kg.

If it's the new height marked seat then go by height.
Even the old seats were tested with 22kg dummies in the harness and many new seats are being tested with the 32kg dummy in them.

Fwiw my 4yo (in march) is 110cm and 20kg so no lightweight and he has atleast 3+cm of shoulder height left before the 5 point will not fit.
