    Resume

    Hi!
I'm currently redoing my resume completely. I have changed the layout and everything (very over due). But it has been a good 10 years? since I actually redid it properly (rather than just adding stuff to it).
would anyone mind having a look at it for me and letting me know if it presents well? I'm a bit unsure about the layout and which parts are actually highlighted (eg. work experience standing out rather than education etc..)

would love any pointers anyone can give too =)

    thanks!

I think it depends what sort of position you are apply for (eg: gov or private)

I don't go back any more than 5 odd years(been at my current job for just on 5 yrs) no more than 2 pages otherwise they are thrown out. My job specs are in point form

see I always thought a resume was just a general overview of you/everything. and then you would add a cover letter/selection criteria to apply it to a specific job.

That's what I thought too, but last year when applying for a new job I was told I now needed to make my resume more detailed and add specific info to do with the job....

If you check out se.ek or career one or some other job hunting site they have templates you can download for free. depending on what type of position you are applying for will decipher the resume you are going for. me personally, I have a lot of work experience so I focus on that other than educational points.
